Demetree Global's new Tallahassee, FL development is under construction and pre-leasing now
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 12, 2017) — Demetree Global has begun construction on a new retail strip center in Tallahassee, FL. The development is situated on a 3.48 acre lot near Florida State University at W. Tennessee Street and Ocala Road. This property is one mile from FSU and Tallahassee Community College and four miles from Florida A&M University. The first tenant, Bojangles', has already opened in the new center.
The property is in close proximity to two student housing complexes that are 100 percent leased: The Woodlands (980 student beds) and The Forum (780 student beds). With over 9,885 student beds surrounding the property and direct access from W. Tennessee St., this is expected to be a high traffic location.
In addition to Bojangles’ free standing 3,886 square foot restaurant with a drive-thru, the retail center plans include space for up to nine additional tenants. The western end cap will be 3,400 square feet with a 1,500 square foot patio and the eastern end cap will be 4,600 square feet with a 2,800 square foot patio. There will also be two 1,400 square foot spaces and five 1,200 square foot spaces which can be combined as needed. Demetree Real Estate Services is pre-leasing the center now.
“We look forward to serving the growing Tallahassee market by providing new retail options for the community,” says Mary Demetree, Chairwoman of Demetree Global.
