Demetree Global sponsors gala benefiting care and research for patients with Traumatic Brain Injury
WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 19, 2017) - The Art of Medicine Gala is being held October 20, 2017 and will benefit the University of Florida TRAuma, Concussion and Sports Neuromedicine Program (UF TRACS) supporting care and research for patients with Traumatic Brain Injury. The gala is in honor of Cindy LaRoe, MD, survivor of a traumatic brain injury.
In 2011, Cindy sustained a brain injury in a competitive biking accident. The injury temporarily prevented her from being able to move her legs or read, caused her to have seizures, and cost her career in medicine; it also led her down a path of discovering her artistic talents. Cindy hopes her talent can raise awareness and money for others with brain injuries.
Held at the Orlando Museum of Art, the gala will kick off with a reception featuring an exclusive, private performance by Orlando Ballet. The main event will feature live speed-painting, infotainment and a live auction as well as special access to the museum. Tickets for The Art of Medicine Gala can be purchased through the event website. Demetree Global is proud to be a bronze level sponsor of this artful event.
