Demetree Global is proud to welcome an exciting new addition to Hannibal Square’s dining scene. Corner Chophouse will officially open its doors this Friday, September 5, at 558 W. New England Avenue, taking over the prominent corner space once home to Dexter’s and Park Avenue Tavern.

A Fresh Take on the Classic Chophouse

Created by the acclaimed Indigo Road Hospitality Group, Corner Chophouse blends the timeless appeal of a steakhouse with a touch of Florida flavor. Guests can expect Certified Angus Beef Prime cuts, local seafood, and seasonal produce, complemented by shareable sides. The bar will showcase a martini-forward cocktail program and a thoughtfully curated wine list led by Indigo Road’s beverage team.

Inside, every detail has been thoughtfully considered - from leather banquettes and copper accents to lighting that adapts with the moment. “The Corner Experience” encourages guests to linger over long conversations, all while enjoying the kind of hospitality that makes you want to return again and again.

Indigo Road’s First Central Florida Venture

Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Indigo Road Hospitality Group has earned recognition across the Southeast with concepts like Oak Steakhouse, O-Ku Sushi, and Indaco Italian. Corner Chophouse marks the group’s first Central Florida location, making its debut in a community that founder Steve Palmer knows well.

“Early in my career, I spent time in Winter Park and was deeply moved by the warmth and hospitality I experienced while living there,” Palmer shared in an interview with the Orlando Business Journal earlier this summer. A four-time James Beard Award nominee, he added, “Corner Chophouse is a nod to that spirit.”
