Good Food, Great Company: A Memorable Evening at Taste of Hannibal Square 2025

We returned to Hannibal Square last week for the 4th Annual Taste of Hannibal Square! This was our second-year attending, and once again, the event did not disappoint. Some of us wrapped up the workday a little early to head over, while others joined later—turning West New England Avenue into the perfect spot to reconnect. The square, charming as always, quickly grew lively as guests began to stream in.

After sampling a few drinks, we set off on our culinary adventure. Our tasting journey included everything from Jam Hot Chicken’s fiery, crackling crunch to the comforting brews, rich hot chocolate, and flaky empanadas at CFS Coffee.

Vinia poured beautifully smooth, aromatic wines; Pepe’s Cantina delivered their famous birria tacos paired with freshly mashed tableside guacamole; and Café-Boutique Piano offered an array of elegant bites. One standout for me was their refreshing smoked salmon avocado salad—a perfect balance of crisp and creamy, along with a complementary glass of wine. We also savored the vibrant creations from Mynt and the hearty offerings from Corner Chophouse.

The Palmano Group kept the drinks flowing, shaking up classic margaritas, sophisticated old-fashioneds, and a festive seasonal mule. Meanwhile, Irvin & Irvin made sure the craft beer lovers had plenty to cheers about.

Beyond the fantastic food and great music, what truly stood out was the strong sense of community. We were proud to be part of an event that supports a meaningful cause, with proceeds benefiting Welbourne Nursery and Preschool—a local organization dedicated to uplifting families and providing early-education support.

Hannibal Square is a core part of the Winter Park neighborhood, and it felt especially meaningful to see so many long-standing local businesses participate. Many of them are proud members of the Demetree Global tenant family, adding an extra touch of connection and significance to the evening.

Gathering outside the office was the perfect way to bond as a team. Sharing laughs, discovering new flavors, and simply enjoying each other’s company created memories we’ll carry with us. It was a wonderful reminder that success is built not only on great work and business, but on the strength of our relationships.

We’re already looking forward to returning next year to support the community—and enjoy even more great tastes!
